Our Team

The principals, Jack and Lorie Mitchell, both have extensive backgrounds in construction, long before they partnered up. Jack worked for his father’s landscape company in Newport Beach, before becoming a journeyman framer and eventually a framing contractor on some of the most complicated custom homes in the 1980's. He became a licensed general contractor in 1992 and formed Mitchell Family Construction with his wife, Lorie.

Lorie grew up in the construction industry. She interned at her father’s tract home construction company while working towards her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, with a concentration in Construction Management, from California State University, Fullerton in 1989. After working for a commercial contractor she partnered with Jack in 1992 to start their construction company. Lorie is also a licensed insurance agent.

Jack and Lorie’s youngest daughter, Kathy, has joined the team after completing her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. Like her parents she has grown up in the construction industry. She interned at Mitchell Family Construction while attending college. She also worked for a commercial landscaping company in Colorado Springs during her final year of college.
